It was brilliant. so wonderfully put together. No flaws. At all.
I won't go into massive detail, as i think it's a film that you have to watch very closely and the less you know about it at the start, the more you'll appreciate at the end.
The film stars Christian Bale and Hugh jackman at the turn of the 20th century, both trying to come up with wonderful tricks to shock and scare an audience.
(Afterall, a magician is only as good as his trick.) You see Bale, as you've never before.
A magician constantly one step a head, determined to make it with a seemingly ruthless attitude. Jackman on the other hand is fixated on being the magician no-one can beat. He's deluded and obsessed. You could say the film was full of tricks, but it's more like the film IS the trick. It's great, you should definitely watch it.
Oh and David Bowie is in it too...
Christoper Nolan is someone else that if you want to watch a good movie, you should watch one of his films. In terms of directing he's relatively new to the scene, but he's been writing and putting together scripts for a long time. His back catelogue consists of: Inception, Insomnia, Memento and of course the Batman films. Anything he puts his hand to seems to be fantastic. I think it's largely to do with the fact that he's very selective over which films he works on and the majority of films he has directed, he has also wrote.
So if you want something to mess with your mind and make you wonder, opt for his 2010 sci-fi effort Inception.
